C 1890s Germantown Authentic Vintage Navajo Rug 17" x 34" W 173

Rare smaller Germantown antique Navajo weaving. Let me explain.
Handwoven with Germantown yarns that were given to the natives when they were driven out of their original territory and could not keep sheep. A traditional Navajo design. The white is natural sheep's wool undyed. Excellent tight weaving in this rug, very precise. Don't know if that's a 2 or an S in the center.

Good old condition. No fading same both sides. No stains, holes or dye runs.
