The real deal,let me explain. This is a vintage Navajo rug that is a pound rug. The ladies were paid by the Trading Post for their rugs by the pound. So the ladies started using thicker yarn which made the rugs weigh more, but did not require any more work. Smart ladies. Wonderful crisp colors, classic design. Notice all the lazy lines, she had to move her seat to weave such a wide rug. Very sturdy rug, suitable to put on the floor as it is room size. Notice no fading on either side.
No damage, dye runs or stains.
Handwoven and hand dyed in a traditional Navajo design.
